However, prison expert Larry Levine suggested Daily Mail's podcast, "The Trial of Diddy," that it shouldn't be surprising if the music mogul skips meals.

Levine explained that he may be doing this as a form of self-protection.

"He's really getting a lot of people in trouble. People want to kill him," said the founder of Wall Street Prison Consultants. "So what if someone on the outside knew someone who had a relative who worked in a prison, so they put something in his food?"

Diddy has been in custody at the MDC since his arrest on sex trafficking, racketeering and transportation for prostitution charges in September.

The reporter revealed that Diddy "looked just stunningly thinner" and also "grayed a little."

In response to the speculation, sources close to Diddy claimed the rapper is "fit" and "healthy."

After recently withdrawing his bail appeal, Diddy is expected to remain in jail pending trial.

He has been denied bail on three previous occasions, the latest denial stemming from federal prosecutors presenting compelling evidence of Diddy's alleged propensity for violence.

Judge Arun Subramanian's decision on Diddy's third bail application highlighted the dangers of releasing the rapper from prison before trial.

"The court finds that the government has shown by clear and convincing evidence that no condition or combination of conditions will reasonably ensure the safety of the community," the ruling said. Daily Mail.
