A video showing the aftermath of what a Goa homeowner describes as a chaotic stay has gone viral on social media, sparking debates about guest behavior and respect for the property.

The clip, uploaded by the owner of The Golden Perch - a popular Airbnb rental - purportedly shows a scene of disarray left by guests after a single night, featuring unwashed dishes, milk stains and a messy bedroom.

In a detailed caption accompanying the video, the owner expressed his frustration with the experience, saying: "Enough with paradise. After two years in hospitality, we finally found some problems. When you put in the effort and someone destroys it, something inside you dies. But again We need to get up and focus on making things better.''

The video has sparked conversations about the respect owed to rental properties, with many viewers rallying behind the homeowner. Some expressed disbelief at the basic lack of courtesy shown by guests, while others defended guests, arguing that cleaning fees typically cover costs associated with cleaning up after a stay.

One user commented: "Whoever did this should be named and publicly shamed. People with zero common sense and etiquette should be banned from using these services."

Another user wrote: "I think Indians in the comment section don't understand the concept of an airbnb. The mess is vile. You can easily use a garbage bag to throw away half the stuff on the counter. It's consideration and respect, which most Indians lack."

However, some had a divided opinion about the incident. Users debated whether guests should wash dishes after a one-day stay.

One user commented: "So you're suggesting that the guest clean the kitchen and utensils? Also, has there been any damage to your furniture? I'm reasonable Travel, I don't clean that many utensils and dishes, but the thing is, if there's a lot of people, the utensils will be like that , and the kitchen will be dirty."

Another user supporting this argument wrote: “It's not even dirty, it's messy but nothing is broken or not cleaned...the cleaning shouldn't be done by the guests....it's not their house, it's yours. ."
