90 Day Fiancé the star David Murphy Died at age 66 after several years of health problems.

Murphy's family shared the news through him Instagram Wednesday, December 18. “We are deeply saddened to announce that David Murphy, of Las Vegas, Nevada, has died at home on December 11, 2024 after experiencing health problems for the past several years. He was 66 years old," they wrote.

The statement noted that Murphy was a "veteran, small business owner and software engineer." Family said Murphy recently retired from the Clark County treasurer's office in Nevada and worked for H&R Block and IGT.

“He was also well known for his time as a cast member 90 Day Fiance: 90 days ago"They wrote. "Her time on the show allowed her to connect with viewers, see the world and share her experiences with her thousands of followers on Instagram. He will be deeply missed by his family, friends and fans. David is survived by his two sisters and his cat Gamera. The family wanted privacy during this difficult time."

The statement paid tribute to Murphy's love of cats and encouraged his followers to donate The Animal Foundation in his name

"As many knew, David had a great love for cats," they wrote. “She always tried to adopt cats and give them a good loving home. David's choice for adoption was from The Animal Foundation of Las Vegas. For friends and fans who wish to help, we ask that you honor his memory by donating to The Animal Foundation in his name.”

Murphy came clean about his health struggles during an Instagram Live in March 2023 "I was basically sick," he summarized at the time

Laughing about a smoke detector that was heard chirping in the background of the video, Murphy explained that he wasn't at his house much. "I've been in and out of the hospital for the last three months or so," he said.

"It's more of the same issues that I had when I went to the hospital in November and they don't know what it is," he said. “My liver is not working properly. I think right now I'm finally getting some color back. Man, did I turn bright yellow, it was crazy. … I was waiting for it to go away."

Murphy explained that her gallbladder "needs to come out," but "they don't want to until the liver is working." He added, "I've done all these tests and they still haven't figured it out."

Murphy claimed that doctors thought he had "acute hepatitis" but he did not have the illness at the time. He added that he had "something going on" in his pancreas and kidneys and that he had two blood clots in his lungs. "They still don't know if it's cancer," he said.

Murphy was cast in 4 seasons of the 90's Fiancé of the Day: 90 days agowhere he Meeting his girlfriend Lana. The pair had been talking online for seven years after meeting on the dating app Anastasia Date. Murphy proposes to Lana But in 2019 the pair called it quits.
