Amazon Fire TV introduces 'Dual Audio' for simultaneous listening through hearing aids and TV speakers

Amazon announced Notable "Dual Audio" feature for the newly launched Fire TV Omni Mini-LED Series, including new accessibility features for Fire TV on Wednesday explained In November. While many existing Fire TV devices are already available Audio Streaming for Hearing Aids (ASHA) supportIt is the first model that can play sound in two different outputs. This feature is currently exclusive to the Fire TV Omni Mini-LED TV series and will be available soon.

By partnering with hearing aid manufacturer WS Audiology (WSA), Amazon is expanding ASHA support to a wider variety of hearing aids, including Widex Moment BTE and RIC hearing aids. Users with these devices can now stream audio directly from ASHA-enabled Fire TV devices, including Fire TV Omni Mini-LED Series, Fire TV Omni QLED Series, Fire TV Cube, Fire TV 4-Series, Fire TV 2-Series. Amazon also introduced new packaging designed to help customers who are blind or have low vision. Some device packaging will feature the newly introduced tactile beacon QR codes, which feature raised UV dots for better visibility, placed in the upper left corner of the rear panel inside the box where the quick start guide is located.

The new QR codes are already available on a growing number of Amazon device bundles, including select Fire TVs, Echo Show models, and a variety of Kindle devices such as Kindle Paperwhite, Kindle Colorsoft, and Kindle Scribe.
