Liverpool are looking for a new centre-back in 2025 and the Reds are reportedly considering a move for Crystal Palace midfielder Marc Guehi.

The defender is expected to leave Selhurst Park next summer after being close to doing so ahead of the 2024/25 campaign.

Newcastle pushed hard to sign Guehi in the latest summer transfer window but he didn't want to match Crystal Palace's high price tag - the Magpies' bid was worth it. £65m.

With the 24-year-old out of contract with the London club in 2026, the Eagles will be open to selling the defender next summer and there are a number of clubs in England's international competition.

Chelsea have been interested in bringing in Guehi for a long time to the club and according to Simon PhillipsThe Blues are seriously considering the Crystal Palace star in January.

The West London club have a buyout clause in the defender's deal, which gives Chelsea an advantage over the competition, as it could see the Blues land the Eagles defender at a lower price than their rivals.

Unfortunately for Chelsea, a major rival could enter Guehi's race in 2025.

According to MirrorLiverpool are considering a £65m bid from Crystal Palace for Marc Guehi next summer as the Reds look to add a new defender to their ranks.

Arne Slot who plays at the back with Virgil van Dijk and Ibrahima Konate, however, it is not known if the Dutch star will return next season as the Liverpool captain is out of contract with the club at the end of the 2024/25 campaign.

The only way Guehi ends up at Anfield is if the Netherlands international leaves, otherwise the £65m could be spent elsewhere, as the Merseyside club are already blessed with excellent options at centre-back.
