After an incredible victory over Rangers in the Scottish League Cup final on Sunday, James Forrest lifted the 25th trophy of his Celtic career.
No other player in Hoops history has collected more pieces of silverware and only 1960s and 70s legend Bobby Lennox can match Forrest's swelling haul.
Product of CelticIn the youth system, Forrest made his senior debut under Neil Lennon in May 2010. By the end of the following season, the lively winger had won his first trophy, coming on in the last nine minutes of the 2011 Scottish Cup final against Motherwell.
More than a decade later, the flood of silver has not stopped. "I've been part of different eras, different teams at Celtic over the years and it's been a pleasure," reflected Forrest after helping his boyhood club overcome their Glasgow rivals at Hampden Park.
"And I think maybe if I hadn't been part of the successful teams, maybe I wouldn't have been here (for so long). I think it's a big credit to the teams I've been involved in and a lot of people who've done great work over the years and I'm glad to be a part of it .
"It's great to be a part of this club on days like this. You see the fans at the end, all the players and staff together, it's amazing to be a part of. I've loved every minute I've been here and hopefully there will be more."
At 33, Forrest has been reduced to a substitute role, starting just five of Celtic's 15 league games this season. The squat forward was only brought off the bench in the final 15 minutes of normal time in Sunday's final. However, Forrest has often made the most of his cameos - his tally of four career-high assists can only be bettered by one of his teammates.
Forrest won the League Cup six times, along with seven Scottish Cup triumphs and an incredible 12 league titles.
When it came to Sunday's shootout, Forrest was relieved he wasn't called up to play against Rangers. "I was next," the veteran shyly admitted after the match, "so I'm glad Daizen (Maeda) scored!"
