Manchester United are reported to be among a handful of clubs in the running interest Paris Saint-Germain striker Randal Kolo Muani is not in favor.

Kolo Muani rose to prominence thanks to a 23-goal campaign for Eintracht Frankfurt in 2022/23, during which he was also part of French national team at the World Cup in Qatar.

Frankfurt, having signed the late Prosperity on a free transfer just a year earlier, quickly cashed in and sold PSG for an initial €75m (£62m), potentially rising to €90m (£74m) with add-ons. But it's safe to say that Kolo Muani has yet to justify that price tag, scoring just nine goals in all competitions last season.

So far in the 2024/25 season, the 26-year-old has started just twice in Ligue 1 and Champions Leagueeven after being tipped to be the team's new main threat following Kylian Mbappe's departure, he has only rarely featured as a substitute since September.

The team reports that Manchester United have the "most concrete" interest, ahead of the arrival of Ruben Amorim as head coach last month. However, it is suggested that other issues must be resolved before proceeding with any type of approach. Champions League clubs RB Leipzig and Monaco are also described as having renewed interest in Kolo Muani.

The French publication suggests that a loan deal "with or without an option to buy" is the most realistic way for PSG to offload the player as the January deadline approaches.

PSG coach Luis Enrique was open about leaving out Cole Muani, as well as Milan Skriniar and Presnel Kimpembe from his squad for Sunday's win over local rivals Lyon.

"I can only call 20 (players). Whoever doesn't understand, that's not my problem," he said.

Manchester Uniteddespite spending around £35m on Joshua Zirkzee in the summer, they did linked to a new attacker for much of the season as a result of struggling to consistently find the back of the net.

Rasmus Hojlund, who signed a deal worth up to £72million last year, started the campaign injured, but has scored much more readily since Amorim's arrival to coincide with improved match sharpness.
