Australian all-rounder Mitchell Marsh is confident of Australia's victory over India despite the threat of rain. Mitchell Marsh believes there are still two days left in the match, which will be enough for Australia to win.
The ongoing Test match between Australia and India at the Gabba has been affected by rain from day one. Only 13.2 overs could be bowled on the first day as the rain played spoilsport and did not allow play to continue.
However, the second day was dry enough to allow both matches to continue. As the match approached an interesting phase, the third day was again interrupted by incessant rain as it was washed out for most of the day.
Mitchell Marsh confident of Australia's victory at the Gabba
After the third day of play ended, all-rounder Mitchell Marsh was asked about the chances of a score in the Test match. Marsh was confident of an Australian victory with two days to go. He reckons that there is still a lot of time left until the match, which will be enough to force the result.
"We're always looking for the radar and what's going on. Two days to go, I think there's still plenty of time for a result," Mitchell Marsh was quoted as saying by Cricket Australia.

Mitchell Marsh hasn't had much to do in the ongoing Test so far. Jasprit Bumrah dismissed him for just 5 and had the lowest score among the first nine batsmen in the Australian batting line-up.
Can Australia claim a sequel?
Meanwhile, Australia can push for an innings win by not allowing India to cross the next target. The men in blue still need 194 runs to avoid relegation which will not be an easy task from now on.
India ended Day 3 on 51-4 and still 394 runs behind Australia's first innings score. They will need some serious work from their captain Rohit Sharma if they are to get back into this match.
Batting remaining for India
Rohit Sharma is yet to open his account and has played 6 balls so far. KL Rahul is batting alongside him and looking solid. Rahul looked the most assured player for India on Day 3 and was unbeaten on 33 off 64 balls. Apart from him, no other Indian batsman crossed the double-figure mark on the third day.
With Ravindra Jadeja and Nitish Kumar Reddy to follow, India will believe they still have some shots to reach a respectable first innings total. Although Reddy has looked in great form in this series, this will be Jadeja's first match in the series.
The five-match Test series is currently level at 1-1, with India winning the first match in Perth and Australia in the second match in Adelaide. The next two Tests will be played in Melbourne and Sydney.
