San Francisco 49ers cornerback Charvarius Ward Admitted there was a "dark cloud" hanging over the team all season due to a series of injuries and off-field issues.
Ward experienced his own tragedy earlier this year when his one-year-old daughter died. He talked about this in an interview Competitor Thursday night.

"It's difficult for me personally to go to work every day, every game, even go to training or meetings," he told the media. "There were times I almost left. S—, I know the fans probably hate me (for saying that), but f— this is real life. It's bigger than football."
"This has to be the hardest time of my life."
Ward missed three games from Nov. 10 to Nov. 24, returning to the 49ers, which lost 35-10. buffalo bill December 1st.
He announces his daughter Amani Joy has passed away October 29th.
"We are heartbroken that our beautiful baby girl Amani Joy passed away on Monday morning. She was the greatest blessing we could have ever asked for and her joyful spirit made us laugh. She taught us to be patient, Trusting, she showed us true strength and bravery in overcoming adversity at a young age, she was always happy and lit up every room with her smile.

"Having the privilege of being her parents and seeing the world through her eyes has made us all better. She will always be daddy's best friend and mommy's little girl. We will miss you and love you forever, Amani Joy."

Ward, the optimist in this situation, told Cook that she would be a beautiful girl and that no matter what happened, they would love her and take care of her.
Armani underwent open-heart surgery 10 months after she was born, and Ward admitted he was overjoyed to see his baby put her down to sleep at night.
Ward is a 28-year-old undrafted free agent who is entering his seventh season in the NFL. His career began kansas city chiefshelped the team win a Super Bowl before joining the 49ers in 2022.
