Boxing News 24 is 9-3 for Mosquea. Clarke moves too much, doesn't show strength, and refuses to stand in the pocket to win. He was alive after being clipped by Mosquea and deserved to lose by a higher count than the judges expected.
Mosquea landed the harder shots in those rounds, but Clarke was less aggressive. In addition to those three, there is one side to support for the angry and explosive Mosquea.
– IBF world lightweight champion Beatriz Ferreira (6-0, 2 KOs) champion Licia Boudersa (23-3-2, 4 KOs), won a ten-round decision in a one-sided contest. The scores are 100-90, 100-90, and 100-90.
2020 Brazilian Olympian Ferreira injured Boudersa with a left to the body in the eighth round and kept him on his way to the unification. Boudersa's trainer had his towel in hand and was ready to stop the fight in the ninth round, but it didn't work.
Boudersa, 32, didn't stop despite taking a lot of blows during the fight. He was still landing a few moments but it wasn't strong enough to bother Ferreira. It's a better fight if Boudersa has power because she's connected. Despite Ferreira's dominance, he wasn't hard to beat.
– Easy hunter Maxi Hughes (28-7-2, 6 KOs) took it easy, knocking out Gary Cully (18-2, 10 KOs) on a ten-round decision. The 6'2″ Hughes faced the hulking Cully, beating him in sets in the sixth and seventh rounds.
The scores are 100-90, 100-90, and 100-90. Cully, 28, suffered a serious injury to his right eye in the sixth round, but was surprisingly allowed to continue the fight. The rehearsal for Hughes, who peppered Cully with bullets, moved away before he could land.
