Simple recipes for Stramboli
Traditionally, strawboli will be filled with different types of cheese, cure like opening and maybe some vegetables, but it really depends on you! I say that in your pizza, go for whatever topping you want to add. Just try to avoid nothing super watering like fresh tomatoes. I used Pepperoni, Sotted Mushrooms, Provolone and Mozre in my filing, and I love taste and texture combo. This is a recipe that you can customize each time depending on what in your fridge or what you are doing. If you need some inspiration, you have also shared the ideas of filling some more!

Heat the oven on 400f. Cut the mushrooms and dig the garlic.

Add mushrooms, butter and pinch of salt and pepper to the skillet. Sot until it starts to release mushroom water on medium heat. Add grated garlic and continue to sown until all the liquid in the skillet is evaporated. Remove the skillet from the heat.

Roll the pizza flour at 10 × 14 inch rectangles. The pizza dough with the sliced provocolon, sown mushrooms, peparoni and mozarela, left about three edges and 2-3 inch on one side.

Roll the dough that is rotating on a long side side. After rolling, place the seam sides down and tick the bottom of the side to the sides. Transfer the rolled strawboli to the parchment-baking sheet.

In a small bowl, stir the olive oil, permazan, Italian spice and garlic powder together. Pour the mixture on the top of the strawboli, then spread the surface to cover the surface. Use a sharp knife to cut slits on top of the dough, about an inch distance.

Bake for about 25 minutes, or sinking from the cheese slit until well brown.

How to make a strawboli Step-by-step photos


Sot mushrooms: Heat the oven on 400f. Slice 8 oz. Mushrooms, then add them to a skillet with 1 tbsp butter and a pinch of salt and pepper.


Sot until it starts to release mushroom water on medium heat. Add 2 cloves of garlic and continue to sown until all the liquid in the skillet is evaporated.


Roll the flour: Roll a large pizza flour in about 10 × 14 inches.


Add topeings: On top of the crop with the sliced Provol (I used six slices) and the flour with the sown mushrooms. You have to leave about three inch on the three sides and a little more room on one side of the long side. This will be the last side to roll, so you need some additional blank space to close it.


Add the remaining toppings. I added about 2 oz. Pepperoni and one with a cup mozerlala again at a distance of about an inch from the edge.


Stramboli roll: Start on a long edge and roll the dough in the direction of the edges with the extra blank space. When you finish rolling, make sure the sewing is coming down. Take both ends of the roll to keep the penis off.


Make experienced oils: In a small bowl, stir 1.5 tbsp olive oil, 1.5 tbsp grated permanson, ½ tbsp Italian spice and 3 tbsp garlic powder.

Stramboli with all those meat and cheese is a little heavy, so I like to lighten my plate with A SoreOr if you feel ambitious, you can go out of all Antivato salad?? You can also use some of the ingredients in antivato to fill the pizza flour!
Storage and rehatiting
Any remaining people can be stored in the fridge for 3-4 days. Wrap them in a plastic wrap or cover them in airtight containers to keep them fresh. You can also freeze the pieces of strawboli cooked for 3 months. Let them melt (ideally) in the fridge, or use the defrost setting on your microwave.
You can either heat the slices, air fryer or oven until heated in the microwave. I cover the foil to prevent me from getting darker when everything is heated in the oven if heated in the oven.
Prepare a meal!
You can freeze prepaid and rolled strawboli (before baking) to make the dinner a breeze a week. I will follow the pizza flour, add your toppings, and then wrap in the log shape and follow the recipe by step 4. Do not add experienced oil topping or insert on top. Instead, cover with a plastic rap and freeze for 3 months. Before continuing the recipe and baking, I let it completely melt in the fridge overnight.
