- 2 x 10 ounces Can a gently cooky tomato with green pepper (with juices) ($ 1.92)

- ¼ Cup BBQ sauce of choice *** ($ 0.19)
- 1 Cup Vegetable broth **** ($ 0.09)

Collect your materials. (1 cup of dry rice product is cooked 3 cups, so you can start it while you are making your beans and greens!)

In a large pan, add olive oil, cooking onion, pepper and salt to the pan. Soft and glossy, cook on medium heat for about 5 minutes.

Then, add canned tomatoes (with juice), strain and rinse pinto beans and frozen corn. Stir to combine and cook for another 5 minutes.

Then, add greens, BBQ sauce and vegetable broth. Stir and allow to cover for 20 minutes on medium heat. Once the greens will be soft and luxurious. Adjust the taste and spice if necessary!

How to make BBQ beans and greens step-by-step

Stir everything together, cover with a lid and simmer for 20 minutes on medium heat. Your greens will look tender and are dissolved when ready. Adjust the taste and seasonings to your liking.


Service: Divide the cooked rice and your homemade BBQ beans and greens in each plate. Enjoy!


Instructions for serving
