Steel cut oats are one of my favorite breakfasts because they are hearty, filled with fiber and keep me full of hours… but they can take a while to cook on the stovetop and I don't always have time to stand there. That's why I like using a slow cooker! This whole process (almost) handles it completely, so I can create a big batch without any extra efforts with my morning or dinner.
I kept this oatmeal with a little bit of warmth and simple, cinnamon, vanilla and brown sugar. The taste is like ours Overnight Oats Base RecipesBut with a more hearty and tasty texture. How to make Slow cooker steel cut oatmeal thick flour Step-by-step photos

Prepare your slow cooker: Collect all your ingredients. Using ½ tbsp butter, grease the bottom and 4-6 quarts slow side sides. This will help to stick to the oatmeal.

Add the materials: 1 cup of steel cut oats, 3 cups water, 1 tsp milk, 3 tsp salt, 1 tsp cinnamon, 1 tsp vanilla and 2 tbsp brown sugar add to your grease slow cooker

Mix to combine: The sugar does not dissolve and stir everything until the ingredients combine evenly.

Cover and Cook: Add the slow cooker lid and cook for 2.5 to 3 hours or 5 to 6 hours less. Before the lid is returned quickly to complete the cooking, I recommend stirring the oatmeal. Serve with all your favorite tortoings once you are ready!

How to store and heat
I always cut the oatmeal with this crockepot steel because it is well heated and lasts about 4-5 days (not enough time to enjoy it for my whole family!). Put your steel cut oat in a personal, airtight container in the fridge. To rehate, I pop in the microwave for a minute or two, sometimes stirring occasionally to distribute heat, and sprinkle a milk or water if necessary. You can also heat the stovetop, add a little liquid and stir until heated.
