Cooking method

  • 10 mint leavesplus a generous bouquet of mint grid with garnish

  • 1 1/2 tablespoon (22 ml) cocoa creampreferably tempus fugit or other high quality brands

  • 2 ounce (60 ml) bourbon or rye whiskey (see comment)

  • You are shattered or shaved

  1. In the glass of Julep cup or large rocks, carefully interferes with mint leaves until slightly injured, then rages on the side of the glass with the aromatic oils of the mint. Add Crème de Cacao and Bourbon or rye and mix thoroughly. Half filling glass with crushed ice and mix to connect. Fill the glass with completely crushed ice and stir until the glass frosts are outside. Add more crushed ice, accumulated generously, then decorate with fresh mint friction. Serve, if necessary, added a short straw so that the smell of the mint bouquet greet the drinker with every sip.

Note

Rye is usually less sweet than Bourbon, which is more likely to find the combination of chocolate notes and bourbon a little too sweet. It is a matter of personal taste, but it is worth experimenting if necessary.
